Datel Advansys Awarded ISO 20000-1:2018 Certification
Monday, 02 September 2019
Datel Advansys are delighted to announce that they are one of the first companies in the UK to have been certified to the latest version of the ISO 20000-1 standard by Lloyds Register.
At the end of last year, the internationally recognised service management standard ISO 20000-1, was updated to the ISO 20000-1:2018 version. The standard details requirements for everything related to a service management system, and the revision brought it in line with modern ways of doing business.
The updated standard ensures that Datel Advansys has IT best practices in place for internal and external collaboration, information communication, measuring service performance whilst striving to make improvements. Achieving this standard is a measure of confidence for the company’s customers.
Andy Pilkington, the company’s Operations Director commented “We take our service management and security responsibilities extremely seriously. The revised ISO 20000-1:2018 standard aligns much more closely with our current business management system, and more closely mirrors our certificates for the ISO 9001 and ISO 27001 standards, making it an obvious step to take as soon as it was practical to do so.
Jonathan Alsop, Assessor at Lloyd's Register, commented: “ISO 20000 can help organisations ensure that their ITSM processes are aligned both with business needs and international best practice. By implementing a certified services management system, Datel Advansys proved they are committed to the quality and resilience of their services. Datel Advansys has been working with Lloyd’s Register since 2016 and I have seen them grow and use their management system to their benefit. The re-certification to the revised standard shows their efforts for continual improvement and best practice”.
